Updates

I wanted to list a few updates.  Were scheduled for our roadmap meeting this Friday afternoon.  Some issues that need to be addressed are the positioning of our house it turns out that our lot is a little angled and not straight back when your standing on the road looking at it.  Not that its a big deal however the house needs to be repositioned to give us more side yard on the right side where the walk out door is going to be located.

There is a down sloping hill from our lot to the neighbors lot and I have now learned that the majority of the hill even though it would appear to belong to the other lot is in fact ours.  I am hoping that the hill can be graded again or brought up so that we have some useable space on that side instead of mostly down slope.  This is the side where the walkout will be.

The Pittsburgh area had some nasty storm this past weekend and when I drove through the development on Monday I noticed about a half dozen broken / sheared trees on the back side of our lot due to the storm.  I called the PM to have him check it out and he agreed that it must have been one crazy storm.  He says that the he will definetely get the trees cleared from the lot (see pic).

  1. WoW! Mother Nature was on a mission this weekend!! It also looks like they will be able to honor your request. I was told that the engineer must come out to assess the house placement. And I have read blogs where folks were able to have their homes repositioned. This is also a request of mine because the lot to our right is only 19 feet apart, 10 for us and 9 for them. Fingers crossed on your request.

  3. I had them move my house about 20 feet and it definitely made a difference.

  4. remember that if you increase the flat area, you are also increasing the angle of slope. just a thought.

  5. That's nice that your PM was "on it" regarding removing the downed trees. That must have been some storm!

  6. We got a little of that storm. It just took off a little of the tar paper on the porch roof. No biggie. Speaking of storms...I hear one rumbling right now. I wonder what this one will bring. Hopefully not any damage.
